Welcome Aboard! Take a look at Sub-Forums: Arizona for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.

You might also browse Forum > Brands > Garrett for information on your MD.

Welcome from White Plains, New York! What made you choose an old Ground Hog over a new Garrett? What are you detecting for? North of Kingman is some of the best meteorite and gold detecting in the United States. You may want to look into a used Fisher Goldbug II, or maybe even a new Garrett AT Gold. Good luck!

There is a fellow on here named Whadifind. He advertises a Garrett groundhog as one of his detectors. He has a lot of experience and would give you pointers if you message him. Welcome aboard.
