Hello everyone, I decided to join the forum after just "crusing" it for awhile.
I am from Wiscsonsin, and a friend of mine introduced me to detecting about 2 weeks ago.
I have decided to get a new detector sometime next spring. I am currently leaning towards a
Garrett AT Pro. Hopefully, I can learn a few things before my purchase.
Thanks
Randy

Welcome to the forum from Massachusetts! The AT Pro is a good choice for new detectorists. It is reasonably priced and has a modest learning curve. GL & HH

Hello from Georgia. I got a used Fisher F2 for half the price of a new one. With Garret headphones. Great detector to start on. In 6 months or a year I'll go for the at pro, and keep the F2 as a back up or as a buddy detector if I take someone out with me.
