Hello everyone new member here. I just have a quick question on what areas around Sedona/Flagstaff and Prescott can I metal detect without being handcuffed and sent to the nearest court.
I have been driving around and seeing regulation after regulations and at this point Im wondering if metal detecting is illegal here. I have been looking around on google for maps hoping it would show the areas that are legal but no luck yet.
If anyone has any info please comment below because I want to start metal detecting regularly.

Check areas around Oak Creek Canyon. I spent a couple of summers living in the trailer park down by the spring in the 1970s while working a smoke tower for the Forest Service, don't know if it is still there. Anyway, you have to stay off gold claims which should be posted, State Trust Land is Off Limits (they will take you, your car, equipment, everything), and of course designated Historic or Native American Forest Service lands. Most BLM land is open. Detect first, apologize later.:skullflag:
