Hi everyone,
I have been popping in over the last year as I took on my new hobby of prospecting and panning in fairly local streams. I have had some success and a lot of enjoyment but what I really need to know is what I have found.
I was panning and sluicing a gravel bar in an area known to have gold but it's all mostly flour gold or small flakes. I have a garret pro pointer and it pointed out in my tailings was a heavy blackened almost tar like blob or ball. It's heavier on one side. So I broke it in two and what I have found has puzzled me. It's very shiny sliver ore of some sort and I'm sure I can see some flakes if gold with a magnifying glass
I am new so sorry if this hasn't worked but I have linked some pics. Does anyone have an idea what this is?
