I am totally excited because this site involves metal detecting and great finds of all kinds. I have had the lonely hobby of metal detecting for almost 40 years, but by the time I was old enough to walk I was always looking down watching the ground for treasures. It helped me find things that amazed my parents but they would always get on to me and say look where your going not the ground. I still walk looking down and still find jewelry, money, and other neat stuff. My new interest is my land. There are rocks I can't identify and some I just want confirmation of. Most are quartz of all types but primarily clear, milky, smokey, and rose. But then there are those that intrigue me enough to try and identify them because it very well may be a true great find for me with many more to come. I look forward to the feed back and wealth of knowledge from others with the same interest! Great to know I'm not alone in my passion!
