I discovered Treasurenet about a month ago while trying to ID and old bottle I dug this year .After quickly finding the info I was checking out the site for a few weeks .I have been digging and picking up old bottles for a long time and realized that the members here are a wealth of knowledge about a large array of subjects . I am about 10 miles north of the Mason Dixon line in PA .I have spend most of my life outdoors doing any number of hobbies .I have spent a good deal of time studying the local history of the area and especially my direct ancestors . As I learn how to post I hope to contribute to the good of the site and if I mess up please help me to learn . Thanks

The huge part of finding old bottles in the woods for me is the historical evidence they give to see how people lived in earlier times . All of our country had it's pioneer settlers . When I find something that is 100 years old or more I wonder how those people lived their daily lives . I may think about what the value of the object I found is worth but that is not the first question that comes to mind .Thanks again for all that chose to respond to my post .
