Greetings from Fruitland Park. If you're thinking "where in the heck is that?" it's in Central Fl, near Leesburg. My husband and I received a Garrett Ace 150 for Christmas last year and have finally started using it. I have many memories of following my grandfather around our family's property in Longwood back in the 80's and digging up coins. We're still learning and have yet to make any big finds. Looking forward to reading/learning a lot and hoping to hook up with a local club to do some hunts!

Welcome to TNet from Virginia! Be patient and learn your machine. Also look for places to hunt that people would have gathered and lost items like coins, rings and other valuables. Research and see and always get permission on private property. As far as finds, don't get discouraged if it is slow. My little bit of hunting this year is some clad coinage, pulltabs, foil and pieces of can hit by mowers (can slaw). Good Luck and happy hunting!
