I am Jonathan, relatively new to this... I don't know WHAT or WHERE this bug got another one (Gold Fever/Treasure Hunting) But one day it occured to me... HEY! YOU LIVE IN CALIFORNIA!!!! They estimate 90% of Gold was never recovered! FIND IT! lol... so here i am. Anyone near San Bernardino want to start a little group or whatever? No commitments just feel out where it will go... This stuff is alot funner when someone else can get excited about same stuff you find... Im 32... and total novice BUT! I have the eye of the tiger... so there's THAT!... lol Other than that hello and happy HUNTING...

Welcome aboard, what’s your thoughts on starting ?
Are you shooting for just nuggets?(metal detector based) Or panning?
Look into the GPAA, or freelance. Just remember check for claims
Make sure the area your going to hunt is full public or not a active claim.
I’m just starting out and will be teaching some youngins to pan.

Look it over real good with google maps..there's gold still in those mountains.. There's old spanish mines and oldtimer mines everywhere... good access roads..

hint start at old womens road and go in that way ....nuggets are being found still

I started out just panning... thinking bout getting serious and taking the next step... (metal detector). I just have this overwhelming feeling they overlooked this place. Got overshadowed by the MotherLODE... Well ... im ready to find the PAPA load... where about do you stay? Im in Redlands...

The San Bernardino Mountains have thousands of claims. Know what they look like and don't get too close to them. People with gold fever get a little crazy (Deeeeeer) I see tons of stakes when I am out 4x4ing the hills. They took many pounds of gold out of the Lucky Baldwin but never found the mother load. It is still there, probably under a huge rock pile

I am closer to Los Angeles. But everything within reach really. Just been a matter or work schedule.
I’ve even got some detectors for prospecting/nugget shooting. I did one run at a semi local area. But lead ridden haha
