Hi everyone on treasure net. I am excited to join this site and be able to talk with everyone about their adventures and share mine. I am new to treasure hunting and am wanting to learn more specifically about prospecting (gold mining) and metal detecting for other treasures. I am from California originally but unfortunately didn't get to do much mining while I grew up there. I now live in Utah but make regular trips back to California to mine. Any advice about where to mine for gold in California would be greatly appreciated. I am making a trip there in November to try some gold panning and sluicing and am looking for some advice on where to take my brother in law who is going for the first time. If anyone has any advice that'd be sweet. Just somewhere where we can find some gold dust/flakes and not be skunked. Thanks guys!

Brett

Glad to have ya here from middle Georgia. Looks like you have some great places ahead to search in both states! Can't wait to read of your exploits ahead. And there's a ton of experiences ahead. The biggest problem I've found so far is not getting sidetracked when I'm looking for something here...
