New guy in East TN

Hi all...Just registered on here. Ive been lurking for the past couple of weeks and finally decided to join.
I am a newbie here from East TN. I am currently just getting into MD'ing. I currently have a Harbor Freight 9 Function metal detector that I got from their store for free, and also a big ole tactical knife I use for my digger. Im up so far a couple bucks in clad, no other real interesting finds other than junk and trash.

I used to follow along with my grandfather when I was young when he would hit up spots with his detector.

I find interest and excitement of anything that requires a hunt or a surprise.

Anywho ....hello!

Hope you have some great finds and look around here on the site for some tips. Look around on Craigslist and you may find a pretty good deal on metal detectors when you're ready to upgrade. Don't let folks goad you into getting a new machine before you're ready. You can learn a lot in a fairly short time with a lower end machine, once you have the basic principles down. Thanks...actually I have 0 dollars invested in any of it. At this point I have only made money with all the clad coins ive dug up so far.
