New to the site, and i might as well be new to rocks and gems again. Havent looked for rocks since i was a kid. But we went to the river for my birthday last weekend and i found a bunch of cool rocks that i would like to figure out what they are, as well as see if they would be worth throwing in a tumbler.

Not interested in polishing whiterock if you know what im sayin LOL

I also found some little geodes!!!

I'll probably be posting some pictures and asking questions about them soon in the appropriate forums

Thanks for the warm welcome y'all i hope to learn a bunch about a lot different things. Right now im just a rock hound when im not looking for shed antlers or morale mushrooms. I found it keeps me sharp on finding sharks teeth when i get to go to the beach!!!

Welcome. Indiana is sedimentary rock territory. Should be lots of Indian artifacts also. Look for fossil locations, there should be a lot online.
