I grew up in Hempstead, and if I was there I would search Fulton School baseball field, Lake State Park and Kennedy Park as there must be silver there. Found musket ball from rain at age 10 on Saint Pauls Road {south}. I delivered Newsday in '56-'59 and saw lots of silver. Fulton School is on Fulton Avenue, circus was across street from West End Tavern near the train station. My best friend Eddie Falk always told me to buy 1909s VDBs I hope he is still around.
