Any Long Island MD'rs out there?

Hi, I am just getting involved in metal detecting, and was wondering if anyone out there has information on some good spots to hit on Long Island.

I've hit Jones Beach a few times, picked up some a bit of clad but pretty sparse pickings.

Any suggestions, hit me up!

Get yourself a state metal detecting permit and hit the state parks,there are town parks and local schools.During the winter when the ticks are down,you can hit the woods(this is where research comes in) and maybe find some real old stuff.Good Luck!
