    Endicott

My friend and I will be visiting Endicott in late July for maybe a week or two, we will be staying at his sister's place in town. We have not been to Endicott since 1974, is the place still there...LOL? We are going to be hunting some private properties in town, But, we also would like to hunt in Binghampton, and other places that we hunted back in 1973-1976. Back then we hunted an old horse race track turned into auto race track, between the two of us we dug over 300 indian cents. Just wondering and asking if anyone knows of anywhere we could get into any coins or artifacts 1700's to early 1800's nearby? My friend grew up on a dairy farm in the area. Thanks in advance. I would use virtual earth , or google earth to scan the area for old roads , foundations etc etc . I prefer Microsofts virtual earth no need to install 3d view just go to http://maps.live.com/ and hit aerial view , Binghamton has the birds eye view option which will bring you to street level , you can actually spot old roads , foundations etc etc outside the city limits using " birds eye view" , also locate sites with no modern homes , take a drive and If its not Posted : No treaspasing then " you know , there is something to be found anywhere in that area historical . Best bet is by rivers or streams . allot of Native ameriacn and revolutionary war activity .
here are some locations from the united states treasure atlas , most Ghost Towns are not Ghost Towns but have been built upon , but a good source of info to activity inthe area .
    1) Ghost Town "Waits" 4 miles due E Nichols
    2) Ghost Town "South Owego" , 3 miles due W Apalachin
    3) Ghost town " Gaskill " 5 miles NE Owego on route 38
    4) Ghost Town " Wilson Creek , 2 1/2 Miles SE Berkshire route 38
    5) Ghost Town " Tiona " , 2 1/2 Miles SW Glen Aubrey
    6) Ghost Town " East Main" 3 1/2 miles NE Union Center
