Are the wireless headphones integrated with the detector or do you need to attach a wireless receiver to it like a Z-link?

With the higher freq. of 20kHz, is this unit also intended to be used
as a top notch, VHF gold detector?

How is the ground balance in highly mineralized soil?

I have the Fors Gold Pro pack now, but would like a machine I can use
for coin shooting as well. If the IMPACT does both, well, it might be a
great machine for me.

The wireless headphones are just that, no dongle or wires or anything seen on Impact detector.
If you looked at Impact detector externally,,,one could not deduce it is configured for wireless headphone capability,,,but it is.

The device has a built in module - no need to attach anything.

Gotcha that's good. Very nicely designed machine. What is the weight with standard coil?

Dilek,
For those interested in the Impact detector or just want to know more about it.

When can folks expect to be able to view operator's Manual via online at your site?

Very much looking forward to adding this machine to the toolkit.

Can you please tell us what the weight is?

Also, for US buyers, is there a link to which distributors are taking pre-orders for the Impact?

Thank you!

So is the wireless option for free or do you have to buy it?

As I understand it, the detector has the inherent capability but in order to use it you have to purchase the wireless headset separately.

I just today sent an email to Dilek, asking about the status of the User Manual for the Impact.
(I offered to proofread/edit it, when the English version was available. I also did this for the
Racer 2 User Manual.)

She replied within seconds! She said "This is unbelievable! I'm translating it to English right now!"
So it's not available yet (in English, anyway), but it should be soon.

Well, I have looked at manuals for Makro and Nokta detectors,,,IMO some of the best written,,and layed out. (And had/have corresponding detectors)
Some other manufacturers could learn a thing or 2 from them.
So,,,I am indeed paying you a compliment here.

Just to be clear, I did NOT write any of the Nokta/Makro manuals. I only offered some suggested changes
and fixes for the first version of the Racer 2 User Manual. It was a good manual before I offered the
changes. But I was impressed with how quickly they incorporated my changes. So I offered to do it
again for the Impact manual. I plan to buy an Impact when they become available, so this will be
a good way to become familiar with all the features in advance.

But thanks for the compliment, even though 99.9 percent of it belongs to others.

A multi-freq machine less expensive than a Minelab Safari with more features? Sure sounds like a home run! Looks great, balanced, and I love the new internal coil cord and sliding shaft. I really like the Racer 2, and the Impact is an obvious step up. What I want to see is a big concentric coil (15"-16") to go with this bad boy!:skullflag:

No, a multi-freq machine sucks for gold prospecting. I'm more than a little surprised youb were not aware of that. :skullflag:

Impact will do both. If you have the Fors Gold, you will definitely be satisfied with the Impact.
It has settings designed to handle high mineralization and hot rocks both in All Metal and Disc. modes.
