I always thought this was a rock with a hole through it. After the last couple of weeks looking at all the rocks that I have realized are now "tools" & effigy stones I see I have had a bonified artifact just sitting in my yard. Notice how it fits my hand so well. I'm convalescencing from surgery and have a lot of time on my hands to figure these things out.

I believe what you've found is a nice stone effigy for sure... probably representing a natural rock.
