    Yard Sale Find

This looks to be an aztec bowl and pedestal that my brother picked up at a yard sale for $10.00.

If I'm not mistaken those are novlety tourist items you can pick up in Mexico. I have seen quite a few of those at shows, flea markets, and yard sales for anywhere from $10 to $100. They are cool, but I don't believe they are old.

I agree, doesn't show any wear from use on the inside of the mortar or the end of the pestle. Still a cool decorative item.

Yes I have seen a lot of those....

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." --Samuel Adams
