    Tennessee Arrowhead need I.D.

I found this arrowhead while gold panning in near the Cherokee National Forest of Tennessee. It came from Coker Creek. It is 1 3/4 x 1 1/16 in.. It looks to be made from agate but I'm not good with arrowhead I.D.

    Thanks for any help.

Hey Cloudwalker, I'm not very good with point-typing, but I figured I would at least try to answer you. The point looks like it was resharpened anciently. If you look at the middle of the point, you can see where it tapers at more of an angle to the front. The native used the heck out of it. Part of the base has been sheared off which makes it a little harder to classify. It has good serrations and is made out of a pretty material. It is basically an exhausted knife blade.

Hope this helps a little anyway.

I don't know, that's a tough call. It has a pentagonal knife form going but I've never seen one serrated

Glad to see Coker creek is still kicking out the gold sir. It reminds me on an Eva point. Not uncommon around here/there. Seems they were good tools with never much of a base but they did put serrations on them.Like everyone said used a lot good find in the Gold creek.
