The smell of Nitro in the morning

    Hornstone in Virginia?

Found this yesterday in our garden, maybe a scraper, or maybe a flake, maybe just a rock but the material looks like Hornstone. Anybody ever heard of Hornstone found in V.A. before? Any other guesses on what the material might be? Last pic is a few broken pieces also found around the garden. Thanks for any help.

Thanks Larson. I thought it might have been a scraper, a broken scraper anyways. Better than no scraper. Thanks again. I think the material might be chalcedony, still not sure.

Viking - that's definitely a scraper. I just moved to Virginia so I'm not familiar with the material here. It has the look of hornstone, but I don't know what else it could be.
