Welcome to Tnet!Another Arky here. Its easier if you can find some friends to help get you started. If not, look for high ridges near older bodies of water.Areas between the junction of creeks or rivers are usually good.Ask around in whatever social groups that you belong to (church, kids ball, scouts, ect).Ask all of the local farmers and farm hands that you know.Remember to ask permission, most don't mind as long as you have ask.And Good Luck, Lightman

Great place to start. I would check the creek itself First. It is summer.. and creeks can be like time machine's it will offer a window into the past and probably a lot more material to scope.

Do i dig or just look on the ground. I do know several points were found on a new log road that was
built close to creek a few years ago

I would definitely check that road Especially after a rain. Or anytime really those logging trucks Are constantly turning ground over. As far as the creek Check the bank As well as in the water. Really these are just rocks So they will tend to gather with other stones Of similar size and weight. Good luck Look forward to seeing your finds
