    possible stone face of figurine?

I have a small stone, smooth, equilateral triangle in shape, with rounded points. From each point to point it is approx 3/4". On the front side of the stone there appears to be flat indention of eyes (brow) and mouth area. The back surface is smooth and completely flat -except for the bottom (behind what I'm guessing would be chin) which is chipped. Almost as if this may have been part of a figurine, and separated at some point. Not sure what kind of stone it is but it is light reddish brown in color. It was found in Texas. Obviously a picture is ideal (maybe required?), however I have no means to upload atm. I was just hoping this description might sound familiar to someone in the forums and could point me in the right direction to compare other online resources. The main reason I think its man made is how flat the back surface is, whereas the front is rounded with sharp brow indentions. Thank you for any help!

It is hard to tell with the quality of the pic but it looks like a fragment of pottery.

Can't tell anything with those pictures. If members want something identified they have to give us a decent picture to work with. Impossible to tell anything with out a picture and next to impossible with poor quality picture.

Looks to be just a natural stone with some nice looks to it. I would have taken it home for a further exam....................GTP(Chris)

Have to agree that it appears to be a rock, and not an artifact. Keep lookin, you'll get em sooner or later.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Got excited when I saw a similar stone (similar color and shape) on History Detectives and it turned out to be part of a very old Native American figurine. I agree it looks cool and will hang on to it. Just for sake of completeness, here are some higher res pics. Thanks again! Awesome Forum!!!
