fort Ancient bead & drill/ Hopewell purchase.

Got out today to a village site that was just plowed. It had no rain on it,but I had to try anyway. I found this huge bone bead almost all exposed. I was right beside a footprint! It is polished nice and almost 3" long. The small drill came from a different site. The Hopewell point I purchased at the Ripley Artifact show a few weeks ago. It was a real steal. Thanks for looking.

Wow Joe, that is one very big Bone Bead. The cuts marks are odd that they are in so far from the ends. With the ends being polished they are either there for decoration or they were going to try to cut some smaller Beads off of that one. Very cool find. I like the Drill also and I still can't believe the great deal you got on that Hopewell Point.

Congrats and thanks for the pics.

That bone bead is an awesome find, I like the design on both ends of it! Cool.

Love the bone bead. Do you happen to know where the Grand point was found?

The only info that I got on the point, is that it was from Ohio.
