Rough Stuff...with a couple keepers!

I had a couple hours to spare between diaper changes and feedings and was able to get over to the "ArrowHead Field" to scrounge the earth a little. Found a few keepers but most in rough shape. This is only the second stone axe that I have found.

The stone awl is the find of the day...amazed that it survived in this plowed field.

I really like that axe. It is not an every day item in good or bad shape. Its not bad at all. The large hafted scrapper in your hand is a nice find also.

Thanks, I really like the axe too. Looking at the second pic I just noticed that there appears to be a shallow groove all the way around.
