these are some gray chert (tongue river silicified sediment) blades
I have alot but these are some of the better ones
I should have 2 or 3 frames of these chert blades to post this winter once I get things in order
I would say that the points and scrapers and knives I find are about 1/3 KRF, 1/3 chert, and 1/3 agate and jasper
some of this chert looks like fairly decent material to work with
this kind of chert comes from the east side of the Missouri river
the KRF comes from the west side
these are by the towns of Stanton, ND(west side) and Washburn, ND (on the east)
The famous knife river flint mines are located northwest of Stanton, ND
