A good or bad trade

I have a good rock hunting buddy, friend that is just crazy about birdies. My last hunt I found a Cahokia point that he just had to have. He pulled this blade out that he had found and asked me if I thought it was worth the Cahokia. I like the feel of the blade and it is a well made, and I have no doubt that my bud found it. So I went ahead and traded. What do you guys think, could this be a Stanfield knife?

Looks like a Stanfield to me. Any trade where both parties come out smiling seems like a good trade to me.

Yeah John, you did fine. Both are very nice artifacts, and I believe like neanderthal that when two people walk away happy, it is a good deal. Kinda like our swap years ago.:-)

I defintely think you got the better end of the bargain. Yeah, the Cahokia Point is nice, but it doesn't compare in my mind to the nice and very large Stanfield Blade.

As they said in Dances With Wolves, "Good trade!"

Thanks for the input . No it really doesn't matter to me witch one is more valueable, because his was a personal find, as was mine. Personal finds are hard to part with regardless of value. I told him that I would trade him back if he wanted, he declined.
I do like the older stuff better, and like that song (SIR-HUNTS ALOT sings) ------ I LIKE BIG BLADES AND I CAN NOT LIE,,,, :headbang: :headbang: John

Great trade, although I am waiting to add a Cahokia to my collection, so I wouldn't have traded..

Molly.
