Always cool to match up a broke,especially a nice point like that one.I agree with 37,the change in color could be from the base being out of the dirt for 10 years.
That is a beautiful point, and you are one lucky dude. Either half would be a heartbraker, but to find both halves of such a nice point is really rare. The difference in patina can be brought about if, one half is exposed to the air sun and weather, more than the other piece. Check the inside surfaces of the two brakes, and see how much difference there is. Does the brake look "fresh" compaired to the original arrowhead surface or does the brake area appear the same as the original surface (an old brake) Either way that is (one) special pieces.
