wow.. I am envious. I believe anyone who has seen this post should be as well... Sure beats finding arrowheads, not that finding arrowheads isn't a great find.

Awesome find! I have one just like that that was given to my father many years ago. They are extremely collectable . :icon_thumright: The fact that you found yours makes it that much better.

Very fine axe bud! They don't come out of the ground looking that good much anymore. I've found probalby 20 axes and that's better than any of them that I've found. Congrats on the very nice piece.

I don't know anything about axes and would like to know why some have grooves 3 quartersinstead of all the way around?
any body know why?

I had to look at this again...wow....it is just beautiful.

I looked at the first picture and with my eyes I think I would have stepped over it out in the field. Now I know what to look for...Thanks
