Amber beads and effigy

Here are the only pieces of worked amber I've found. The string of beads was dug in Haiti on a construction site. I didn't know they were amber until one of them cracked and started to fall apart. The other ones are covered in a thick patina (kind of like the brown patina shell gets), but they are still translucent under light.

The other piece is a Tairona "grub" from the border of Colombia and Venezuela I found while walking on the surface of a mound when I was younger.

Simply amazing. Makes sense they would consider amber as a workable ornament. First I have seen. Thanks.
