its really hard to get good pictures of this. found in huron, ohio in 2002. seems to have a 1/2 groove, which may be natural, but the flint/chert is worked into a semi circle shaped blade. I'm doubting mother nature fooled me, but she may have! any thoughts?

jeff... i dont know about it being an axe either. The groove naturally made me call it that. You'd have to hold it to see what i mean.

looks like a axe, you say it feels like a axe, must be a axe!!!!! may be a first axe made by someone are a quick and dirty one, made to do one job, if what i see on the blade is impact damage as it looks to me, it got used quite a bit before it was lost.....T.

:tongue3: I think it is a heavily worn axe/chopper. Looks to be a tool that was used not one that was just polished pretty and lost . Yeah Great pics!!!!
