Hardstone gouge and a nice one. beautiful peace I have a large hardstone collection but I dont have one of those. was this a personal find?

From the pics i've seen of gouges, this may be a preform/unfinished one. There is a 7/16" x 3/8" chip on one end, but neither end is scooped out (from what pics i've seen of a gouge). The last 2 pics show both ends of this piece. Choo, I did not personally find this piece, but i would to put my hand to my heart in its authenticity and it is a central Ohio find. Yes, it is a beautiful piece. Thanks

Preform I guess maybe?? :dontknow: To me it just looks like a nicely polished hardstone.............not sure if it's anything......................jmo............GTP :icon_thumleft:

After looking at it again it could be a Hammerstone.
