That is just a rock. Toss it in your flower bed and get back out there. You will come up with something eventually. Good luck !

Just an oddly shaped rock, not an artifact.

Everyone is saying "not an artifact, just a rock". I saw3 of these side by side in an old artifact book from 1962......a friend had this book but no longer has it....they were all shaped the same and had the two little holes that look like "eyes"( seen in picture one)!

jdecker... if it is an artifact, i'm as stumped as everyone else! I've never seen anything like it before. The closest thing i can think of that it may resemble is a lizard effigy, but just seems too far off in shape to be one! check these out to see what i mean!

Every effigy I have ever seen shows signs of being worked and has a distinct shape, yours has none that can be seen....Mother Nature makes billions of pointed rocks, I see no signs on your rock of anything to suggest an artifact, even with the two tiny dimples.....

Have seen a lot of just rocks that people tried to convince theirselves were artifacts.......

If you believe it is one, keep it and look for more artifacts.....Wish you lots of luck either way.
