That first piece is a serious heartbreaker but a great find regardless. The width and tapering look like a St. Louis style Clovis imo.

Now that I look at it compared to the size of that quarter I think I jumped the gun on that call. It still has a paleo look in flaking , form, grinding, and fluting / thinning strike though, I just think the overal width isn't right for a St Louis. Still a great find though.

I found this on top of a river bank / Wash-out..((new spot for me))Water level is way up ..I will post more finds from this area ..If i find anymore that is :icon_sunny: ..Thanks Th3rty..

first off where are you in Tn, just in general as my location, central highland rim of east Tn.. photo #1 need photos of other side and clearer [for my eyes] photo of end that looks concave not sure that it is not a broken tip. 2 nd. photo not sure. 3rd. need photos of all [3] cutting edges. #4&5 i think geo that may have struck a cupable pieces off to check flint to see if good for points, or just plow damage can not tell witch! go get more points and? Terry

Thanks for looking ...I'm near the foot of the Cumberland Plateau .. I'll get better pics sometime this week ..
