Found this axe head in 1996. Was around 12 years old and was just playing in the creek like any good country boy! Saw a cool rock and took it home, got yelled at by mom for bringing more rocks into the house until my father noticed it. He flipped out.

Green and white granite with absolutely no imperfections. Unbelievably smooth!! Authenticated as late archaic 1500-2000 BC.

Found many cool points since but nothing out of ordinary.

Enjoy

WAs told this was probably from the Nebo Indians? Anyone have an interesting information about them? Would this have been made for fighting or camp work or what?

Spectacular Find you have there. I'd say for wood work, rather than fighting.
