My streak at finding bone awls (16 so far) all in the same general area continues. The short one I found a couple days ago and the other two last evening along with the scraper and my closest yet to a complete fish hook. The bone tool and the broken point I found this evening and the pottery pieces last week.

Wonderful finds! Really nice color in the pottery, and super nice assemblage of awls. Congratulations!

nice kelly!
now you should post an image of all 16 of your awls from your spot
most of the ones you have shown me were the real long ones made from turkey leg bones and very high quality
it would be a nice picture if you can please do it for us

Cool artifact finds. That fish hook is a killer.

Okay Steve, here they are, but I hope the streak isn't awl over. The cool thing about these is that they were awl found in the same 10' x 10' area and most of them have their tip.

those are the most consistent quality i have ever seen in a group
the three in the upper left hand corner are either marrow scoops or maybe tattoo needles

Wow, it's got to be pretty dry to find bone. We don't find any on the west coast.
