Found this while out hunting for arrowheads since I am new to this I have no idea if this might have been a tool or what. Any help would be appreciated
I see the shape you are looking at and photographed it in that way.. but what would be the base is cut off in the photos and I dont see any pressure flaking to make what looks like serrations. the material looks right....keep looking in that area..but I think that is just a flake with a provocative shape.
Thanks for the input. I am in southwest Oklahoma and the spot I found this I have found 3 small arrowheads and tons of flint pieces if that is the correct term. Will try and take a picture of some and post. Again thank you!
Find some high ground near a water sorce in the area if you can. Check the water's edge and bank as well as the high ground. Or near any place two waters meet...just a few ideas. With flakes and points you said you already found there I'm sure there is more. After a good rain is a great time for more to be visible.
I used to hunt out in Watonga on the Canadian river. Horns not points. I should have hunted points. Nice finds. Mamber Matt ( Neanderthal) is pretty much an expert on stuff in your area. Thanks for sharing.
