Wabash River Find - Indian Territory

Maybe just a rock

, but wanted to get anyones expertise on this. A friend of mine found this on the river near a ford a few years ago. If anyone is familiar with the Wabash in Indiana, there was significant native american activity. Again, it may be just a "rock"

Very odd?........I want to say abrading stone but it is not right. The lines are not cut into the stone like a abrading stone or arrow shaft straightener would be. It does however look like some sort of possible marker stone with the marking on it. Almost like a petroglyph........................GTP

also looks like that stone was chosen because sitting flat ...it has a tilt to the viewable surface making it noticeable to someone coming upon it cool pc

A lot of rocks in glacial areas have marks and gouges. I vote rock. Nice rock though.
