real nice and hardstone
i have found only a couple hardstone abraders in my life
sandstone in the norm up here
i will try to post if you wish

Very nice shaft straightener. I have never found one of those but have found several abraders.

Where was this one found?

It was in my Uncles estate, and I can only guess. It could be Chumash from the San Luis Obispo, Calif. area, or from northern California, but I wouldn't know exactly where.

That is about the only thing on my wish to find list. Being a traditional/primitive bowhunter, a shaft straightener would fit right in with my show an tell. I must have 30 mano's and everytime I would pick one up I would hope there would be a groove on the otherside, NOT.

Very nice find you have there.

Here's some from the site we hunt. Most are sandstone but there are also a few granite.
