A preform/knife maybe? Found it sticking out of a riverbank on private property while fishing. Turns out that the rapids where we were fishing was a crossing on an ancient Indian trail. Barber quarter for size comparison.

Thanks guys. I have been asked what type of material this is and what it might be worth, but I have'nt the slightest idea. Just got lucky .. It was one of those few times back then when I was'nt actually looking for artifacts, and here is the nicest piece I have ever found staring me in the face.
