Take some good close up pictures of the back of them. That will help to ID them.

ok, i'll pull them back out of the closet. If they are worth keeping I would like to stow them away and take care of them properly. They've been stored in the front of a 5th wheel camper for the last few years and it was recently lent to a relative so I removed them.

Both rugs have the same pattern on both sides so I don't know which is the back, however, here are some close up pictures

i would prefer to keep them if they are real, but we've just found out that a basket we have may be authentic also, and im off to find a Pablita Velarde piece that i have stashed somewhere for possible appraisal also. I don't own the basket, or rugs, but they belong to my father who may end up selling them.

You have got two really nice hand made rugs there. Off hand I can't tell which culture they came from, but there were a ton of these rugs sold to tourists out west in the 30's. They have become very valuable now. There's a bunch of stuff on the web to help with identification. Start with medicinemangallery.com.
