No, what you have is simply a broken biface.

Also, not all crescent are paleo. There are two types- those in the far west and the southwestern crescents. Some of the western crescents have been found in very early context, but not the others.

Grobb first welcome to the forum. I'm thinking what you have there could be the business end of possibly a hoe. How thick is the piece? If you could take pictures of the broken side, the front of the blade looking down on the tip and a side shot. This will help...... I'm pretty sure it is either that or a flint axe, more likely a hoe though.......

It can always be a flake blade. It's not a crescent knife as defined by the western types that go by that name. It could be made off a large flake. Or be a piece of a larger biface.

Grobb, you have the bit to a chopper similar to the one below, I think. Not a bad find at all!

Going to have to stick to my call. I still think it is a hoe. The tip shows usage wear and I'm just not seeing the bi face knife on this one. The way it is bladed is just like a hoe. This would be a diamond shape if whole is what I'm assuming Aleisters and just plain are saying? Only one type and at first stage it could possibly be close, that would be a harahey knife. This has the form of a hoes business end.
