Yesterday I found this quartz point and the heartbreaker. We don't find many quartz points in southwest Georgia.

You and me both. I like to find them but I struggle with the different types of them.

I know your in South Georgia but it really looks like a piedmont style point from up here.

You are right about there not many being found down this way. I have very few & most are not as nice as the one that you found. I have to guess that they were traded in and I wonder why. We have great quality flint already here. ???

Maybe they had an eye for aesthetics and creativity too...so they liked to try new materials and see what they could make.
