Standing woman. Hmmmm. It should be Very Tired Woman. Or...2 games, 1 kid getting beat 27-0, emotional breakdown, 2 sets of team pictures, one wedding, 3 hours of driving, 1 case of extreme hunting withdrawals on a beautiful day woman...

Oh how I should have been born an indian squaw. I would not miss anything except maybe modern medicine.

I read the title and it really caught my attention because I've been asking a Native American co-worker of mine for my Indian name and he said he's working on it and It will take a bit of time and a lot of thought because it really needs to reflect my personality. That being said, I can't help but think that this may offend some Natives that may post here. Maybe this thread is better suited for the "comedy central" forum...

Just to be clear, I'm not offended by it because I have no reason to be. I just see both sides.

Many of the members here are native or partial Native American Wit and enjoy the banter and are posting also. Do appreciate your sensitivity though.

I am Indian and anglo as well. I could tell you the names of uncles and grandfathers, but enjoy anonymity far too much.
p.s. I'm not offended.
p.p.s no one in my family referred to themselves as "native" until the mid 90's, food for thought.

A joke :

One day an native Indian kid asked his father :

Why my brother's name is " Black Bear " ?

Father : Because , the day when your mother became pregnant to your brother , a black bear looked inside the home from the window .

Kid : Why my sister's name is " Big Thunder " ?

Father : Because , the day when your mother became pregnant to your sister , a big thunder burned the big pine out of our home .

Kid : Hmm...

Father : You have understand " Broken Condom " ?
