WOW!! One of the rarest of the rares. That is a killer find jonzer and to find it in two piece 8 years apart is awesome. Congrats on the killer find!!

Is the material Granite or Gneiss?

Now that's awesome!!! What a fantastic piece my friend! Congrats on the find. I never would have thought you would find the other end. It can happen that's for sure. Very cool to see it whole. Now I'll have to get a chance to see the rest of it. Too bad I'll be over seas for a while.

The show in Mason City is coming up again late in July, I'm sure there would be some guys down there that would love to see it. Congrats again, that's really cool.

that's awesome Jonzer!! I know a find like that is rare in itself, but to find the missing piece would be the ultimate high. The material is beautiful. If we could all be so lucky to find the other missing pieces...Congratulations!!! Way to go:icon_thumright:

Not sure about the material. Hoping you experts would tell me more about this.
I was wondering if I should glue it back together or leave it. It has minimal material missing.
Would it be a good idea to have it professionally fixed?

For the uninitiated, could you explain a bit more about what a Bar Amulet is, and why it is so rare?

Hello,
Your very lucky to have found the other piece. I found half of a gorget four or five years ago but haven't been fortunate enough to locate the other piece. Congratulations!

Jonzer - Had to come back and look again. just the broke end you found 8 years ago is a great find all by itself. Really an amazing find. You asked about getting it 'fixed'. I think it's a great, great find the way it is, I think it takes something away from it having it 'repaired'.
