Well I posted this one not long ago and it didnt really show well in the pictures. It has dimples on all sides but one. It is a nice add to my collection because it is the only one I have ever found. There is an example of one on the peach state site but theirs is much more defined. I am happy I kept it :icon_thumright: I was told they did a nut and then turned the face to a new side over and over again till all the nuts were cracked that they had.

Cool! Never heard of a "nutting stone" before... :)

I have heard and seen the flat type but not the cubic style before. I am glad to have found it. Thanks for the comment.

This is perfect in shape by design. This one is 2.5 inches on every face and it is a piece of flint. It really amazes me as to how they got the shapes so perfect on their stones that they altered. Thanks for all the responses.

2013 now thats an old thread. To this day I havent found much in that same field but just a few flakes hoping they will turn it this year maybe something else will surface. Its a big field but there is only 1 corner that shows any flint or artifacts and its rite where I found the cubic piece which some still call it a grinder, pounder and of course a nutter. I still have it by the way its one of my favorites and my 1st hard stone find. Thanks, rock
