Copper spearhead

Crow Wing county Minnesota I found this copper spearhead! Anyone have any knowledge they can share with me on this find?







The impression was still left in the rock after I picked it up. So it had been there for quite a while.

There was a great post on these points just a couple of days ago on this site from a guy up in Canada who found one similar but not as perfect as the one you found. great recovery

Nice rat tail point. It is archaic copper from 6-9 nine thousand years old. Still looking for one myself. Beauty!!!

That's most awesome, I'm confused as why some worked in metal,and the rest stone 5000 years ago. Didn't know north Americans at that time even worked in metals.
