My friend found this in his moms yard in Raymond mississippi last Saturday metal detecting. At first I thought it was a dagger of some sort, but the more I look at it I think it's a pike. Not sure. There was alot of troop movements right in that area, an I know the Spanish an French came to lefloures bluff not too far away info greatly appreciated. It's some kinda Damascus steel, or high carbon. Weighs about a pound or two.

Nope! Found it today in a civil war artifacts book, it's a confederate pike from an armory in Georgia. Lee had them made thinking we were gonna have to use them. The armory was burnt down by Sherman, and they marched through Raymond burning everything down headed to champion hill then Vicksburg. My friends gonna freak!
