I don't get to see nearly as much great Florida material as I used to on the forums.. for several reasons.. I get it.. but I would like to ask for your help in putting a nice display together on this thread even if you don't post often. Thanks.

they got all they could out of that bolen, bolens and hardees are my favorites

I like the Bolen Bevel too. I had three Bolens at one time from Suwanne Co. I sold the other two. That is the best one. Heck, one of them I actually sold for $25. I gained the money I had in them right back. Seems like a popular FL type to collect or maybe it's just me.

CFD.. I know you and Tom we're helping me try to figure out what to call this point.
You might already know but Son sr. Believes it is a Bolen.

N. FL or Mid FL?? Still looks like a killer Duval. IMHOP bolens have more upswing in the notches and the ears hang down more (generally of course) on the bulbous base types.
Muhaha,
Tom Duval

Have you ever seen an alternately beveled Duval?
That's not the best photo I'm not near it at the moment but if I took it out and took a photo looking straight at the tip you can see an obvious twist from the beveling on alternate sides

Hey :-)
That would be illegal I wouldn't advise that... The only place you are allowed to collect anything man made older than 50 years in the state of Florida is on private property with written permission..
that does not include the waterways

I know it isn't a point (knife/scraper) but its all ive got due to the bloody laws. I found this earlier in the year when i was detecting private property here in Tallahassee. It was in a hole i dug to retrieve a iron target!

Nice find.. It sorta looks like it's unfinished.. Almost like it didn't work out well for the maker.
It looks like it might be a partially completed piece with some serious age.
