Pottery?

Picked these up a few weeks ago, found them while organizing. Are they pottery? They are different from other rocks, material seems to be a mix of materials. The large piece seems layered.

No I dont think so. Looks like the creek rock I find. Sandstone with mica in it and sediment stone. When you get your package you will see the weight difference and then the texture. One side gritty feeling and the other side smooth and very lite for the size of the shard. I havent found any thick pieces so I dont know about that type.

Well darn....that's okay though, I'll be good at knowing what is not pottery, lol! If I don't have the "what ifs", I'll never learn "what is".

most pieces will have a slight curve to them too...curve like a bowl or pot curves....

most pieces will have a slight curve to them too...curve like a bowl or pot curves....

I believe that is why they tumble in the creeks cause of that slight curve.
