Thats a tough call. It could definitely go either way. I am not familiar with they type of artifacts found in that area. If it were found here I would lean toward modern manufacture. Probably an anchor stone for some type of trot type fishing line or small boat. Not a banner stone....most net sinkers I have seen are smaller and a different shape. Dunno for sure there. Interesting piece. Call it whatever you want. :D

Looks like they sarted with a bigger drill ,then went to a smaller drill on the hole ,or i guess it could be wear from usage by a rope or something, hole looks to straight and smooth for the length of it.neat whatever it is.
