Was flipping soil for tomato garden & found this...

Doesn't look like a practical piece? I don't know. Also, never found white agate around here. Hope to find the other 1/2 tomorrow. Apologies for the poor pics, the rain really started coming down!

Thoughts?

I sincerely doubt it was ceremonial. Perhaps some exhausted blade of some sort. Imagine- a ceremonial piece would be stunningly beautiful- and well made. Just my humble opinion. Keep looking in that tomato patch- there might be something terrific in there! Yak

Could be. I've seen ancient pieces like this in the Uwharries. Like I said, these pics suck but it sure looks like an old spear (1/2) when you look at it. Been wrong before & have the divorce papers to prove it. I found another big piece today that is definitely something & also not from our local area. I'll put a pic on after work tomorrow.
